What is Personalised SMS?

Personalised SMS (also called SMS merge) allows you to automatically insert each recipient's personal details — such as their name, account number, or any custom field — directly into the SMS message body. This makes mass SMS campaigns feel personal and relevant to each recipient.

How to Use Personalised SMS

In the iSMS portal, use the Personalised Message panel to compose your SMS. Use the %name% placeholder in your message — iSMS will replace it automatically with the recipient's name from your Address Book or CSV file.

Message Composition Options

You can compose either a standard SMS (up to 153 ASCII characters) or a long concatenated message. A signature can also be added, though 13 characters will be deducted from the standard character limit when a signature is enabled.

Sub-account users can also use personalised SMS unless the main account administrator has restricted message control for sub-accounts.
